This animated short is about a man named Bill who's life, or lack thereof, is humorously depicted throughout the film. As it goes on Bill steadily loses his mind, probably due to some sort of mental illness like schizophrenia. Don Hertzfeldt has a unique style of using stick figure drawings and splitting the screen up in to multiple windows. The end result is a very compelling and humorous short film that stays interesting throughout its entirety.

ReplyDeleteThis guy is a real talent. Rejected Cartoons was hilarious! I'm sure this will do the same.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks! I've only seen I Am So Proud Of You, and that was really incredible. Starting off on a good note!
ReplyDeleteThis must be pretty new as he's using music from "The Tree of Life" soundtrack. So great!
ReplyDeleteAaaaaand, I'm an idiot. It says 2006 right in the title.
ReplyDeleteVery nice short. Picked this one to show at our local film festival a few years ago and it was really lovely on the big screen.
ReplyDeleteI have part two of the series. Part three hasn't been released yet.
